Deep, bright garnet in colour, the 2020 Merlot exhibits a perfumed nose of ripe plums, red currant, rhubarb and traces of violets, earth, and sweet beetroot. Mulberries and red currants showcase on the palate with roasted beetroot and a slight hint of cinnamon, toast, earth and leather. Full-bodied and well balanced, the chalky tannins allow for a deep, rich lingering finish of dark chocolate and coffee bean.
