Spring in the Vineyard

The sun is shining, the days have warmed up and our vines are quickly showing signs of life as buds are bursting and leaves are separating all over the estate!  We have started fertilizing certain blocks through irrigation, and making sure all our irrigation systems are working well for the busy season ahead. 

Our next big task is replanting about 800 cuttings of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz throughout the vineyard.  During the cold winter days, while pruning, we took some canes which we planted in our green house.  These have started growing and are looking happy and healthy and can now replace vines which did not take from the previous year.

Spring is a very exciting time of the year and so far things are looking great for vintage 2021!
